Kurt Schafer, a former New Jersey State Trooper and Personal Protection Agent was stationed in Afghanistan working with DynCorp Security since 2007. He was the Personal Security Detail Team Lead.

Kurt was a dedicated father of three boys, husband and pastor.
For those of you who knew Kurt, you probably were a good friend to him. He was a very lovable man and could make friends with you at the first words of hello. He was a true friend and companion to all of those around him.
